It's been awhile since I last posted. I've been bad. Forgive me! On top of not posting lately, because I haven't, it didn't keep me logged in like it normally does and I wasn't using the right email address to get logged in. It was a little frustrating. But we are all set now ( I think anyway!).
So I've been trying to gather information about previous jobs that I have worked so I can apply for some part time jobs. Nate has been getting really crappy hours at the Bass Pro Shop, and has continued to look for another full time job. He was told originally that after like 3 months he would probably be moved up to full time status, but he hasn't really even been getting 20 hrs a week the last few weeks. It really sucks. And he has been scheduled basically on the weekends, with the night shift. It really sucks =( So we are hoping something comes along with another job for him where we can get benefits and insurance and stuff.
I finally have gotten all the information that I need, I think to apply for some jobs. I applied for one job this morning. I have filled out paperwork for another, all I need is one more reference and it's ready to turn in. Christine, my sister-in-law, is going to bring me an application for where she works to fill out tonight. She is even going to call and see if they are hiring for me, she's wonderful! =) Then soon, I think I might apply at Target. I was looking online and found that I can do it online from home, which is much nicer than having to go into the store to apply. However, this morning it said that every job I was interested in wasn't hiring right now =( So I might wait a week or two. They will probably hire more people for the holiday seasons coming up.
Ok well this is shorter than I planned, but Aiden is crying and needing my attention. I am pretty sure that he has a tooth ready to pop through so he has been more crabby lately. =( Until next time . . .

Oh Man!
So, a lot has happened since I last blogged!!!
Basically, the biggest thing that has happened is we have 2 more people plus another dog here at my in-laws house. My brother and sister in-law moved back in simply because my sister in-law's mother kicked them out of the house. So they moved back here Saturday. Nate was the only one home Saturday night. They still have a lot of stuff at the other house. So they are like I was, in between houses right now. It sucks, and I feel for them. They have been looking at houses to buy for the last month. They have had 3 houses taken from under them which stinks, but they haven't given up looking. Now that they are living here with us, they are even more determined to find a house, and find one quick! They went and put an offer on a house today and Christine (my sister in-law) already got a call back saying that there are 2 other offers on the table. It's a foreclosure house. One offer is lower than theirs and the other offer is above the asking price. So now they are a little discouraged once again cause they really liked this house. So we'll see what happens.
The other big news is that I FINALLY have my new license, waiting on my new social security card, and I feel like a Yenser now!! The only thing I have to do now is get a hold of the bank and change my name on our account and get a hold of AllKids to change my name, address, and add Nate's name to it. To bad I've been trying to get a hold of them for the past month! Ridiculous!!!!!
So yea, lots has been happening in the growing Yenser household. Stay tuned for more updates.
Oh yea, me and Nate got our pictures today that Sarah printed for us!!! We love them! They are even more beautiful than on the computer!!!! =) We can't wait to get them into frames and hang them!! Thanks Sarah!!!!! =) You rock!

Family Time
This weekend was GREAT! It started with Friday. Me and Cathy, my mother-in-law, took Aiden to get pictures done again at Wal-Mart. Cathy took Aiden last month to get pictures done because she said he is just to cute not to have pictures done. So Cathy, Mark (father-in-law) and Nate took him to get pictures done when Nate took Aiden for the weekend. The pictures are SUPER cute. Well, after paying way to much money for pictures, Cathy realized that they charged her an extra $10 to belong in this picture club. Well her impression was that she can go in every month and get a free 8x10 picture. Sweet deal for only a one time fee of $10. So me and Cathy took him Friday to get "4 month" pictures done. Well while we were there, we found out that in this club, she could go EVERYDAY if she wanted to, to get a free 8x10. Now that's a real deal!!! So we said there is no reason why we can't take him every month to get at least an 8x10, even if we don't buy any other size. So, we are hoping to do that.
Saturday was a typical Saturday, just kind of hanging around all day. It was nice. Sunday me, Nate, and Aiden went to the zoo with Matt & Christine (brother and sister-in-law), and their friend Pat and his child Vincent. We had lots of fun. Aiden was much more attentive this time. We went last month to the zoo, and he seemed to like it for the most part. And lately when he sees animals on the tv, he gets really excited so we thought he would really enjoy the zoo this time around. He did, he really seemed to have a good time. My favorite part of the zoo was in the penguin area. I can't remember what the building is called, but inside they have that waterfall thing where like every 30 seconds a rush of water comes over the rocks, hits the top of this glass and slides down into the water below. It's not very big, but if you've never seen it before, it might scare you when it happens. Well, Aiden LOVES, I mean LOVES his bath time! To the point where the last few times he has pretty much soaked my arms because he is splashing his feet so much. So we thought he would enjoy seeing this waterfall thing. Boy were we right. Nate had the video camera ready and we got him on tape. At first it was like he was shocked that the water was coming, then he started to make these noises and would jump like you wouldn't believe! He was so excited about it. We taped him during 4 times of this. It's hilarious! One of these days, I'm going to get it on my computer and post it on facebook so people can see. =)
After the zoo, we drove to my parents house. Aiden had a dr. appointment on Monday so either way I was planning on going and spending the night at my parents Sunday night so I didn't have to worry about traffic on Monday driving to Algonquin for his dr. appointment. My mom couldn't get enough of him. I'm pretty sure dad had a great time with Aiden too. Snuggles (the dog) was SO excited that we were there. As we were leaving on Monday she was actually whinning because we were leaving. We Aiden had his dr. appointment. He now weighs 18.4 lbs!!!!! And he is 27 inches!!! He is such a big boy! =) Dr. said everything is looking good though, we should have nothing to worry about =)
So we had a very busy, but very fun filled weekend. Hope your weekend was just as great! =)

City On Our Knees
I will admit, I stole this video idea from Sarah. But after I watched the video on her blog, I HAD to get it to post on my blog!
So thanks Sarah! It's truly inspiring!

Stupid Bank
Ok, so let me tell you. I HATE our bank. Me and Nate had accumulated over $75 in change that we were going to use for our date and whatnot. So we took the change to the bank and they don't even have a stinking change counter in their building! How ridiculous is that???? They have to bag up the change, and send it out to be counted! I mean, good grief . . . So not only did we NOT have that money for our date night, we won't know for sure how much change there was. Nate pretty much told the bankers that we know how much is in there and if it doesn't show up in our bank account there is going to be some serious accusations going on. AH!
And on top of that, we are at Bank of America beacuse it's a nation wide bank. We thought about a couple others too, but this was the closest to our house right now. Well we are doing the Keep the Change thing. It basically rounds up all our purchases that qualify for the Keep the Change (which is most everything) and the change gets put into our savings back account. It also gets posted into a change jar on the side of the screen and for the first 3 months the bank matches our Keep the Change entries 100%. So for instance, if we had 4 purchases and the change added up to be $1.42 for the day, the bank then puts in $1.42 for the day. We don't see the banks money until our year anniversary. But they will match us up to $250.00! Sweet deal, right? WRONG, it's a pain in the butt to try and keep the checkbook balanced with the bank. I don't think I have been balanced since we opened the bank account. And I hate that feeling of having to rely on what the bank is telling me we have available.
So between Nate's blow up about the bank not having a change counter, and me frantic everyday trying to balance the checkbook, we both have made comments about switching banks and we just opened the stupid account like 2 weeks ago! How dumb is that. We shouldn't be wanting to change already, but we are. I'm hoping we do . . . cause they really haven't helped when I've asked other questions about Aiden's savings account, savings bonds that I have, etc. So I'm fed up . . .
Sorry, just needed to vent this morning. It's so frustrating! Chase bank was the other "top contender" in our deciding which bank to use. Does anyone have anything good/bad about Chase??

Failed Attempt
Ok, so last night I had a failed attempt at posting again . . . I really was going to, but by the time I got around to sitting at the computer, I was wiped out! So I vowed to blog tonight =)
Today was fun. Nate had to work from 9-3 so me and Aiden had lots of time to spend together. He is really starting to get a personality. It's so funny to watch him play and reach for things. He "talks" like there is no tomorrow once he gets started! LOL. It's so cute to watch. Tonight, while Grandpa Yenser was playing with him, he was reaching for his toes. He has been doing this for awhile now, but hasn't figured out how to get them to his mouth yet. Everything he gets a hold of ends up in his mouth! Well tonight, he figured it out. Grandpa Yenser was helping him at first, and Grandpa was absolutly LOVING it! He just laughs and laughs and thinks it's the cutest thing when Aiden tries to get his toes to his mouth. After Grandpa helped him out some, Aiden finally figured out how to move his leg just the right way and started sucking on his big toe!
I was really hoping to go for another walk today but when we got up, it had rained and it looked like it was going to rain again and I didn't want to be caught in the rain. So I'm a little bummed that I didn't get to take Aiden for a walk. I was super tired after walking yesterday (we walked about 3 miles in about 45-50 minutes), but even though I was so tired I felt refreshed in a way. So I wanted to do it again today, but no such luck. Maybe tomorrow =)
Nate has off work tomorrow! YEA! He wants to go fishing in the morning, and he keeps saying that he is going to take Aiden with so I can have some alone time, but I don't know if I want him to. It seems like Aiden is finally starting to nap more than 30-45 minutes at a time so I count that as my free time. But I know Nate feels sort-of disconnected from Aiden. We were talking a couple nights ago and he made a comment about how it sucks because he basically missed out on the first 3 1/2 months of Aiden's life, because he only got to see him like once or twice each month. And now that he has a job and his hours are all over the place, he's missing out again. I don't blame him, because I have gotten to spend SO much time with Aiden that sometimes I feel drained because I am constantly with him. So we are both feeling it now that Nate has a job. But we are very happy that he does have the job, because many people are still without jobs. (LOVE YOU DAD!) So we are just praising God that there is some money flow . . .
Ok, so I feel really lame because I haven't finished writing thank you notes to people from wedding gifts. It stinks, because as much as I don't like writing thank you's (partly because I feel like I have been writing them since March with my baby shower from church, one in April from my aunt and sister, then a wedding shower at church in June, and then the wedding in July!), I hate that I don't have them done almost 4 weeks later!!!! I really would like Nate to help write, but his handwriting is not the best, so we agreed that he would do all the licking of the envelopes and putting stamps on. However, when I have gotten bored during the day, when Aiden is content I've just licked and stamped the envelopes myself. He did do about 15, but we have over 75 thank you's to do!!! So this is where I need advice . . . Do I ask Nate to write some of the thank you notes, or do I just have him lick and stamp them, or should I just book them out myself? UGH, what to do, what to do . . . Maybe if Nate does take Aiden tomorrow, I'll force myself to stay off of facebook (which is my weakness right now, cause I don't have to think about anything when I'm on) and just write write write! I'm over half done, I only have about 35 more to do! OH MY GOSH, it's still a lot!!!!! But they really need to get done =( This is when I wish I had more motivation!
Ok, so homework for you tonight and tomorrow: Pray for me, for motivation to do the thank you notes and pray for a great night with my hubby. (I forgot to tell you, Nate told me last night that he wants to go out to dinner just the two of us, you know like date night! =) Which we haven't had in over 2 months!! Excluding our honeymoon)

Back Again
Ok, so I'm back again to try this blog thing out. I'm hoping that by blogging about my family it will help me to see that I am really doing the best that I can right now.
I have been feeling down about myself the last couple of days. I think because I'm still trying to adjust to the fact that a lot has happened in the last few months and it's all hitting me now. Between having my beautiful, wonderful, cheerful, lovable, cutie pie, just want to pinch those cheeks son; getting married almost a month ago; moving in with my in-laws; not going back to school right now; it's just all very overwhelming!
So yeah, basically I wanted to start this blog to maybe help sort out all of the feelings that I'm having throughout the day. Then maybe me and Nate won't get into some of the "tiffs" that have occurred.
Aiden is crying, up from his afternoon/evening nap so I need to get him. I'll post more later tonight when I have some free time.
